Prof. Dr. Thomas Ludwig has a professor position at the University of Heidelberg since 2001. He conducts research in high performance computing. His focus is on cluster computing and in particular on high performance I/O systems. His research group develops tools for performance visualization and optimization of parallel file systems. Deployment is in particular for bioinformatics applications.
