Dr. Werner Hansmann

Dr. Werner Hansmann teaches computer graphics and geometric modelling at the Informatics Department of Hamburg University. Originally a civil engineer he specialized in CAD, and he received his doctorate in computer science in 1985 for his work on blends for free-form surfaces.
He has been working in the field of computer graphics since the early 1970s when he was involved in the development of interactive graphics software for first generation CAD workstations. In the past he has held academic positions at the Bauhaus University at Weimar, Germany, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass., USA, and at the Ruhr-University at Bochum, Germany.
