Bigger and better in 2009 - ISC’09 hangs tough

A new location, a new pricing system, a stronger conference program and a bigger exhibition: It wasn’t always easy to tackle all challenges simultaneously, but in the end ISC organizers were astounded by the great response of attendees and exhibitors.
As of June 8, advance registration for ISC’09 was still 20 percent ahead of last year’s record-setting figure. And with its 116 exhibitors, it has far exceeded all expectations.

Starter service - Hamburg Tip

If you are visting Hamburg for the first time, here are some handy tips to help you make the most of your visit.
Getting around Hamburg
If you flying into the Hamburg airport you have the choice between a taxi (about 30 min. and 25 € to Congress Center Hamburg) or the subway line (S-Bahn) line S1 (every 10 min., 2.70 € to main station in 20 min.).
At the main station (Hauptbahnhof), change to the S3 line (direction “Pinneberg”) and get off one stop later at “Dammtor”. CCH is just a few steps away. And don’t worry, most stops are clearly announced in both English and German.

Hamburg has an excellent public transportation system called HVV (www.hvv.de). Buses and trains (both U-Bahn and S-Bahn) run frequently until 1 a.m., afterwards night buses can get you to most parts of the city, but on a less-frequent schedule.

Taxis are always available on both sides of the “Dammtor” station. On the north side cross at the traffic light and walk in direction of the gas station. Taxis are on the lot.
On the south side taxis are waiting in front of the station entrance.

Free tourist information is available at the tourism office in the main station near the “Kirchenallee” exit. They have maps and catalogs with tips for Hamburg visitors for free.
