ISC'09: Are you in yet? Your colleagues are!

Even during rough economic times, the value of the best information holds up. That could be one reason why advance registration for ISC'09 is far ahead of past years -- and well on track to be the biggest in the 24-year history of the conference.
For example, total attendance at the end of advance registration was nearly 20 percent higher than in 2008 (another record-setting year) and registration for the conference technical program is 45 percent higher than last year.

With new flexible registration rates, you can't afford NOT to join us in Hamburg.

Exhibition Highlights - 40Gb/s InfiniBand Demo

The HPC Advisory Council has joined the ISCnet team at the ISC'09 to showcase and demonstrate a large 40Gb/s InfiniBand ecosystem, connecting multiple exhibitor booths on the showfloor.
Now is your chance to see the largest HPC ecosystem demonstration and have a look at the fastest interconnect technology.
The "Global Remote Desktop Visualization over 40Gb/s InfiniBand" demonstration will show multi-application windows on a single screen— pulling data such as HD movies, 3D applications and live cameras from multiple exhibitor servers and storage devices and displaying the data in each connected booth.

ISC’09 Opening Party

Thanks to an expanded four-day conference program, ISC will hold, for the first time in history, the conference opening party on the evening of the first day – Tuesday, June 23.
After a full-day at the conference, get ready to unwind with champagne, cocktails, live music and lots of surprises by exhibitors to compete for your attention during the evening.
What else could be more fun?

Learn the Latest from HPC Vendors - Exhibitor Forum

The Exhibitor Forum sessions cover all of the latest developments in HPC, from new products and upgrades to recent research and results to future plans and system roadmaps. There are case studies presented by customers who have achieved better performance, reduced time-to-market, improved reliability or enhanced capabilities by using exhibitors' technologies.

You can also hear insights given into the technology trends driving their strategies, the potential of emerging technologies in the product lines, or the impact of adopting academic research into the development cycle.
Whatever the topic, the Exhibitor Forum can tell attendees what's happening today and tomorrow.
All exhibitor forums are open to everyone.
At ISC'09, six sessions are scheduled now.

Go wild - Hamburg Tip

It’s an experience you really shouldn’t miss. Since 1907 the Hagenbeck Zoo is still privately owned by the Hagenbeck family and one of Hamburg’s biggest attractions. Nearly 100 years ago Carl Hagenbeck invented the use of open-air enclosures for his zoological park – a dramatic departure from the bars and cages at other zoos – and this revolution paved the way for the continuing huge success of the zoo.
In their anniversary year in 2007 Hagenbeck opened its latest attraction – a tropical aquarium covering 8,000 square meters.

To get a glance of the world-famous Hagenbeck's Tierpark visit the ISC'09 Networking Event, June 24, which takes place in the exotic surroundings of the zoo. All ISC’09 attendees are invited by HP, Intel and Microsoft and many other sponsors to join the Networking Event.
